Welcome to the WDRA
The World Dirt Racing
Association (WDRA) was founded in 2001 by Jeff Rupert. The WDRA uses the DODC rules package to govern our touring series for regional
dirt oval racers.
The WDRA Series sanctions a
series of dirt oval events throughout New York and Pennsylvania. In
2010, 8 different tracks will host WDRA events. The series is
comprised of 3 divisions of Eastern Dirt Modified (EDM) style cars, 1 division of Late Model style cars and 1 division of Sprint style cars. All
classes are for electric cars, although individual tracks may choose to
add nitro-powered vehicles in additional classes. These will not race
for WDRA points. A breakdown of divisions included in the series is as
follows:
·
SPORTSMAN This is the WDRAs sportsman division. DODC 17.5 spec rules apply. The "banned" list will apply for this division. For beginners and intermediates, this class is always action packed.
·
358 EDM This division is the most competitive. Open to all
drivers. DODC 13.5 spec rules apply.
Side-by-side is the norm here.
·
LATE MODEL This division has already proven to be very competitive. Open to all
drivers. DODC 13.5 spec rules apply.
Fender to fender racing at it's best.
·
EDM OUTLAW This is the class for the 17.5 EDM racers who have not moved into the "SPEC" division. This division uses
rules born from the DODC MOD EDM. These cars will be restricted to 17.5 brushless motors. The "banned" list will apply for this division. For beginners and intermediates looking for some great action
·
SPRINT OUTLAW This division, using rules born from the DODC MOD SPRINT, looks to be very competitive. Open to all
drivers. Restricted to 13.5 brushless motors.
True OUTLAW action will be had.
SEE YOU AT THE TRACK!
